"Smokin' Candies DVD"
Upon first viewing the DVD I thought, "This is some of best sleight of hand I have ever seen in my 38 years in magic!." I highly recommend this DVD!
Each routine is performed and then explained excellently. The camera captures John's bold moves close up and at various angles, and sometimes even in slow motion. Good camera work!
John teaches the misdirection and the psychology needed to perform these magical miracles! John's killer moves are a sight to behold. You just will not believe your eyes.
John has spent many years perfecting his products and his sleight of hand, and it certainly shows with his fantastic work.
I am glad this DVD shares with the magical fraternity the fantastic magic he has created.

"Smokin Candies DVD"
I had already purchased John Rogers' "For Those Who Wooden Smoke" Cigar manual (which is by the way, worth every penny).
But John's approach to hand-to-hand transfers with the wooden cigar is unique. I've researched transfer moves extensively (Tarbell, Carney, etc), but what better way to learn than from the man who carved (pun-intended) his own niche with the wooden cigar. I devoured the material in "Wooden Smoke" but felt like I could use some extra help - I immediately ordered John's DVD Cigar Manipulation.
It is VERY well done, professionally engineered and shot by the folks at Camirand. John explains in great detail the transfers, switches, and routines that are possible with not only the wooden cigars, but also with candy and life-savers. With so many "shot in the basement" cheap-o DVD's rolling through magic, this DVD is a refreshing change. Buy it!
